Sharon man charged with sixth drunken-driving offense
ELKHORN—A Sharon man is facing his sixth drunken-driving offense after a Walworth County sheriff's deputy reported seeing him swerve in traffic and hit a median.
The deputy stopped Kenneth J. Wych, 61, 12701 E. State Line Road, at about 1:42 a.m. July 9 on Highway 14 in the village of Darien, according to a criminal complaint filed in Walworth County Court.
Wych crossed the centerline, swerved back into his lane and hit a median, the complaint states.
He wouldn't follow the deputy's directions and failed roadside sobriety tests.
Wych's preliminary breath test showed a blood-alcohol content of 0.16, double the legal limit.
Wych is free on a $2,500 cash bond. He is scheduled to appear in court next at 3 p.m. Friday, Aug. 7, at the Walworth County Judicial Center.
