Florence “Tootie” Hill, age 80, of Arbor Vitae, WI, passed away at the Howard Young Medical Center on Saturday, July 11, 2015. She was born on Dec. 28, 1934, in Pillager, MN, the daughter of Harvey and Florence Skillings. Tootie worked for Parker Pen for 37 years. Later, she worked at Trig’s in Minocqua, and loved meeting new people. She was the familiar face that gave out samples and the ham buns on Sunday’s. Tootie loved the Northwoods; she enjoyed being outdoors, snowmobiling and boating. She was also a member of the Cross Country Cruisers Snowmobile Club.
Tootie is survived by her loving husband, Jack; son, J.R. (Vicki) Hill of Sun Prairie; two grandchildren, Aaron (Liz) Hill and Melissa (Tim) Syvrud; three great-grandchildren: Peyton, Brady and J.T.
A Memorial Gathering will be held from 11:30 a.m. until 1:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 18, 2015, at BOLGER FUNERAL HOME–WOODRUFF CHAPEL, 1212 First Avenue, Woodruff, followed by a Memorial Service at 1:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial be given to Our Lady Queen of Peace in Manitowish Waters.
