The Milton Raptors took full advantage of an overmatched Farmington team in a 17-1 win in Rock River League play Sunday, winning in seven innings due to the league's 10-run rule.

Dave Sagaitis and brothers T.J. and Ross Klawitter did much of the heavy lifting for Milton (18-4 overall, 10-2 RRL). Sagaitis drove in three runs in going 4-for-5. T.J. Klawitter had just one hit but had four RBI, and Ross Klawitter doubled twice with three RBI.

“We had a lot of guys who had good swings and put the ball in play,” Raptors manager Doug Welch said.

T.J. Klawitter and Sean McCann pitched well, too. They didn't walk any batters and combined for 11 strikeouts, eight by McCann in three innings of relief. McCann has been fighting soreness in his pitching arm, but he “came in and had good velocity,” Welch said.

The Raptors went 2-0 on the weekend, and Neosho picked up its first loss of the season Saturday, putting Milton a game behind in the loss column in the race for the Southern Division title.

There are six regular-season games remaining for the Raptors, who are off next weekend.
