WHITEWATER—Downtown Whitewater has a new restaurant.
Casual Joe's, 319 James St., is owned by Tyler Sailsbery, who also owns two other Whitewater restaurants: the Black Sheep and Fin and Hooves.
The primary specialties at the family-friendly Casual Joe's are meats that are smoked on site, according to a news release sent Friday. Offerings include brisket, pulled pork, chicken and sausages.
The restaurant's executive chef, Cara Stradinger, makes four barbecue sauces, including a seasonal sauce that changes every week.
Side dishes include BLT macaroni and cheese, portobello mushrooms, cornbread and apple fennel slaw.
The restaurant opened May 3.
