Richard Shepherd, Sr. was born Aug. 27, 1923, in Bicknell, IN. He passed away on Sunday, April 12, 2015, at his home in Fontana, WI. Mr. Shepherd is a Veteran of the U.S. Navy, having served during World War II.
Richard is survived by his wife Marilyn (Annach) Shepherd, whom he married on May 2, 1953; his children: Sandy Rankhorn, Rich (Catherine) Shepherd, Jr., Ken Shepherd, and Nancy (Michael) Zikuda; grandchildren: David and Dan Shepherd, Ken, Jr. and Amanda Shepherd, and Sara and Nicholas Zikuda; sister-in-law, Betty Shepherd; nieces: Laura Shepherd, Cyndi (Russ) Castaneda, and Ellen (Tom) Walsh; as well as several great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Paul and Donald (Shirley) Shepherd.
Visitation will be held at TOYNTON’S WALWORTH FUNERAL HOME, 328 Kenosha St., (just east of Rt. 14) on Thursday, April 16, from 2 until the time of service at 3 p.m.
