Earl John Finke, 25, of Burlington, WI, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, March 19, 2015. Earl was born to John Finke and Ann (Ehlen) on May 12, 1989, in Burlington, where he spent his entire life. Earl was also a lifelong member of St. John’s Lutheran Church. He was a 2007 graduate from Burlington High School. After high school he continued to work on the Finke family farm which was a true passion of his. Earl also went on to be a construction laborer and was a member of Laborers’ International Union of North America. He was an avid fan of the outdoors and enjoyed several recreational activities particularly snowmobiling, four-wheeling and fishing. Earl was a true friend and very much the life of the party.

Earl is survived by his loving parents, John Finke, and Ann (David) Slavin; his cherished sisters: Emily (Scott) Fleming, Marie (Dan) Cunningham, and Cassidy Finke; and adoring nephews: Owen, Mason and Avery. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Elmer and Helen Finke, and James and Margaret Ehlen; and uncle, Timothy Finke. Earl will also be dearly missed by aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and many friends.

Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Sunday, March 22, 2015 at ST. JOHN’S LUTHERAN CHURCH, 198 Westridge Ave., Burlington, from 2:30 until 6 p.m. On Monday, March 23, 2015 a memorial service with Pastor Lahmann officiating, will be held at ST. JOHN’S LUTHERAN CHURCH, Burlington, at 10:30 a.m. Committal services will follow at Burlington Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Finke family.
