WALWORTH—Big Foot High School students will head to UW-Madison on Wednesday to discuss the writings and ideas of political philosopher Jean-Jacques Rousseau.

Students from 19 high schools across the state have been reading and studying Rousseau's autobiography "Confessions" and working on projects, presentations, papers, short films, games and performances based on the book.

In Madison, the students will discuss topics such as freedom, equality, the role of government and Rousseau and present their work to one another, UW-Madison community members and political theorist Danielle Allen.
