JANESVILLE—A Janesville man was arrested on a charge of sixth-offense intoxicated driving at 7:28 p.m. Thursday, police reported.

John F. Krause, 45, of 1105 Kellogg Ave., No. B18, also was arrested on charges of driving after revocation and with no insurance and was cited for unsafe lane deviation, according to a police news release.

The arrest occurred at Crosby Avenue and Rockport Road during “a high visibility traffic enforcement operation,” when an officer checked the plate of a Ford F-150 pickup truck, according to the release.

The truck's owner had a revoked driver's license and five intoxicated-driving convictions, according to the release.

At the Janesville Police Department, Krause submitted to a breath test that showed he had a blood-alcohol concentration of 0.16 percent, twice the legal limit.

Krause was held at the Rock County Jail pending his next court appearance.
