Paul Ryan pulled into car crash lawsuit, website reports
March 11, 2015
Rep. Paul Ryan of Janesville is being sued over a 2014 car crash that he wasn't even in, according to a new National Journal report.
Kevin Seifert, Ryan's chief of staff, was driving in Washington, D.C., in February 2014 when he crashed into the back of Santos Perez' car, according to the complaint.
Ryan wasn't in the car, but he is being drawn into the lawsuit because Seifert was acting in Ryan's interests, according to a National Journal report.
The Justice Department has filed a motion to dismiss the case, according to the report.
The National Journal describes itself as a "fiercely honest and scrupulously non-partisan" political publication.
