Tasty in Southern Wisconsin: Steaks are tasty at Hunt Club

While recently paging through CSI Media's Explorer Magazine, I noticed an advertisement from the Hunt Club Steakhouse that included my word—“tasty.” I had to try this place they promote as Lake Geneva's premiere steakhouse and see for myself if the ad is accurate. It is.

Now the Hunt Club team can add “award-winning steaks” to their advertisements because their great steaks have earned my Tasty Award. I've been to the Hunt Club twice recently and my meal was exceptional both times.

On one of my visits, the restaurant's owner was in the house. One of my two dinner companions recognized Garth Chambers, owner of Geneva National, which includes the Hunt Club, as he passed by our table. His golf resort has been the recipient of many high-level awards from golf and travel publications and his restaurant is also worthy of recognition.

The Hunt Club ad in Explorer Magazine also highlights exceptional service and that too is accurate. Jay and Matt provided very high level service to go along with great food and a spectacular view.

In case you haven't heard, I'm searching for south-central Wisconsin's tastiest things to eat and drink. When I find them, I'll tell you about them right here in CSI Media's Wednesday edition.

I can't do it alone so I have a partner to help me with my evaluations and in my efforts to spread the word. My partner has decided to stay anonymous and goes by the name Geneva Smith. We often use CSI Media's publications to decide which places and items to try.

Please come back to this spot in future weeks to see what Geneva and I choose for our next Tasty Award.

Cheers,
