Bluebirds fall 4-2 in state quarterfinal

The Janesville Bluebirds, playing at state for the first time since 2008, lost to Superior in a state quarterfinal at the Alliant Energy Center in Madison on Thursday afternoon.
The Bluebirds rebounded to tie the game after falling in a 2-0 hole, but Superior scored twice in the third period, including an empty-netter late, to win 4-2.
