TOWN OF FULTON—Two Edgerton people were hospitalized after a Sunday night crash in the town of Fulton, according to a Rock County Sheriff's Office news release.

Gary Carroll, 61, Edgerton was listed in critical condition with life-threatening injuries at Mercy Hospital and Trauma Center, Janesville.

Brenda McConochie, 46, Edgerton, was listed in good condition with minor injuries at Mercy.

Both were taken by ambulance after McConochie lost control of the Chevy Blazer she was driving at 8 p.m. at a curve on North Hillside Drive near East Wildwood Way in the town of Fulton. She over-corrected, the vehicle went into the ditch, rolled over and landed on its roof, according to the release.

Emergency workers found McConochie outside of the vehicle, but Carroll was pinned inside and unconscious, according to the release.

McConochie was arrested on a charge of causing injury by drunken driving and cited for drunken driving, driving too fast for conditions and possession of open intoxicants by a driver, according to the sheriff's office.

North Hillside Drive was closed for five hours while the Wisconsin State Patrol reconstructed the crash scene.
