Tasty in Southern Wisconsin: Elk Restaurant breakfast fast, tasty
PrintWe had a full schedule on a recent Sunday so enjoying a great breakfast at the Elk Restaurant in just over 30 minutes was exactly what Geneva and I needed to start our day.
The Elk, located at 13 W. Walworth St. in Elkhorn, was quite busy on that morning but we were able to quickly claim a table. As we looked around at what others were eating, everything looked so good. It was only our own slight hesitation in placing our order that prevented us from getting in-and-out in under a half-hour.
The fast service was also friendly and our breakfast was great. This was my second recent trip to this restaurant and the previous visit was equally quick. Maybe the speedy service is part of the successful formula for the family that has run this restaurant for many years. On the other hand, others seemed to enjoy their breakfast at a slower pace. I bet our server just recognized that we were in a bit of hurry and moved quickly for us. Her fast work and the great breakfast earned the Elk Restaurant a Tasty Award.
