Whitewater police searching for home burglar

WHITEWATER—Whitewater police are looking for a burglar who broke into a Whitewater home and stole a pair of headphones and credit card.

The burglar entered the home between 5 and 7 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 11, according to a Whitewater police news release.

The residents were home, not injured and unaware the burglary happened until the items were noticed missing, Capt. Brian Uhl said in an email.

The burglar used the credit card to purchase electronics at the Whitewater Wal-Mart and later attempted to use the credit card at the Janesville Wal-Mart.

The burglar is described as a white man, between 25 and 30 years old, about 6 feet tall and 200 pounds. At the Whitewater Wal-Mart, he was seen wearing a dark colored plaid jacket, a multicolored hat, black pants and glasses. At the Janesville Wal-Mart, he was seen wearing a black and white striped jacket, a black hat, jeans and glasses.
