E. Koshkonong Lutheran's log church celebration postponed

CAMBRIDGE—East Koshkonong Lutheran Church's celebration of the 170th anniversary of its log church was postponed because of Sunday's snowstorm.

The celebration now will be held at during the 9 a.m. service Sunday, Feb. 8, at the church, 454 E. Church Street Road.

The log building was the church's first home. It was dedicated Jan. 31, 1845.

“Knowing this celebration will have special interest to the Norwegian-American community in south central Wisconsin, the congregation is extending an invitation to all interested persons to participate," a church news release said.

Guests and visitors are invited to join members of the congregation in wearing Norwegian garb.

Norwegian-speaking Interim Pastor John Eyster has developed a Norwegian-English service for use Sunday.

A Norwegian coffee-and-treats fellowship is planned after the service.
