Milton police warn businesses of 'suspicious person'

MILTON—The Milton Police Department is warning local business owners of a “suspicious person” that has been coming into area businesses the past few weeks asking to wait inside.

The person is described as a white male about 5 feet, 9 inches tall, weighing 180 pounds. He is described as being in his early 30s.

It has been reported the man has gone to four businesses along Merchant Row and East Madison Avenue.

The man has multiple excuses as to why he must wait inside the businesses, but asks for a place to wait out of the cold, according to a release from the police department.

The department is asking for the community's help in locating the man to interview him and “potentially thwart any crimes before they occur,” according to the release.

Call 608-757-2244 or 911 and ask for an officer to be dispatched to the location where the man is seen.
