JANESVILLE — Janesville resident Carla Quirk is the latest person to sign a declaration of candidacy for the Janesville School Board.

Quirk joins incumbents Greg Ardrey and David DiStefano on the list of people running for the three-year term.

Three seats will be up for grabs during the spring election April 7. Current board member Deborah Schilling is not seeking re-election.

Quirk is a mother of two that has lived in Janesville for 28 years. She is an employee of Rock County and said her skills managing a budget for the county would translate well to the board.

Those interested in running for the school board have until 5 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 6, to submit campaign registration statements, a declaration of candidacy and nomination papers with no fewer than 100 but no more than 200 signatures.
