TOWN OF CENTER — A 74-year-old man was pinned after his semitrailer truck collided with a farm tractor in the town of Center on Tuesday.

Authorities were called at 11:20 a.m. to Highway 14 at Fox Road between Janesville and Evansville for a two-vehicle crash.

Both lanes of traffic were blocked and the driver of the semi, Richard Konsella of Eau Claire, was pinned. The driver of the tractor, Eric Rebout, 24, of the town of Janesville, was not injured in the crash, according to a news release from the Rock County Sheriff’s Office.

Traffic was diverted for two hours and 30 minutes, according to the release.

Konsella was transported to Mercy Hospital and Trauma Center for injuries sustained in the accident. He was later released.

Rebout was traveling west on Highway 14 and signaled to turn left into a driveway. Konsella attempted to pass Rebout while he was turning into the driveway and struck the driver’s side of the tractor, according to the release.

Konsella’s semi went into the south ditch and rolled on its driver side, according to the release.

Konsella was cited for passing a vehicle indicating a left turn and failure to wear a seat belt.
