Arrest made in armed domestic violence case

JANESVILLE--Kevin V. Moore was arrested on a charge of disorderly conduct and domestic violence while armed with a dangerous weapon early Friday morning, according to a Janesville Police Department news release.

According to police, officers were dispatched at 12:17 a.m. Friday for a report of an armed subject in the 200 block of South Academy Street, where a man and woman inside the house were involved in a domestic disturbance. During the argument, the man displayed a loaded handgun in a threatening way but did not injure the woman.

After interviewing people involved and gathering evidence, police had probable cause to arrest Moore, according to the release.

Moore, 27, Janesville, was booked and released after posting bond.
