Denny's Restaurant in Janesville has closed

JANESVILLE—A popular restaurant along Interstate 90/39 in Janesville has closed its doors.

Bill Mears of Coldwell Banker Commercial McGuire Mears & Associates, who has an office near the restaurant, said he heard the restaurant's lease was up, and the franchisees decided not to renew it.
Mears is not involved in the property, but he is involved in other real estate deals and says restaurants are “hot” right now in Janesville. He thinks the former Denny's has a future, especially being located near St. Mary's Janesville Hospital.
“I think it's a dynamite location, and I'm confident something else is going to come in there,” Mears said.
The closest Denny's Restaurants to Janesville are in Beloit, South Beloit, Ill., and Madison, according to the corporation's website.
