Darien house fire causes $75,000 damage

DARIEN—One resident was taken to a local medical facility for evaluation, and one firefighter suffered minor injuries while battling a house fire early Wednesday morning at 237 N. Wisconsin St., according to a Darien Fire Department news release.

According to the release, firefighters arrived at 12:39 a.m. and found smoke showing from the second floor of the two-story single-family home. The residents already were outside.

The cause of the fire, which was extinguished within 15 minutes and resulted in $75,000 damage, remains under investigation, the release said.
