Rep. Ryan Q&A with editorial board Monday

DELAVAN -- First District Congressman Paul Ryan will visit with the CSI Media editorial board about 10:30 a.m. Monday during a visit to Delavan.

The visit will stream live here, at WalworthCountyToday.com. The meeting is scheduled for about 15 minutes.

Home for the first extended recess since the passage of health care legislation, Ryan is expected to discuss what lies ahead for a deeply divided congress.

Ryan believes repeal of the health care reform bill is possible, but not before 2013.

Of course Washington's political battles take place against the backdrop of the upcoming mid-term elections in November.

Republican's hope American's frustration over the year-long health care battle will translate into significant gains in the house and senate.

Democrats, however, hope that the economy continues its timid recovery, and that voters will have moved on from the partisan battles of the spring.

Look for reporter Margaret Plevak's extended coverage of the visit in the April 25, 2010 Walworth County Sunday.
