On State secretary outlines pro-growth budget

Posted on November 17 at 8:49 a.m. ( Suggest removal )

hmmmm... isn't it wonderful to watch common sense management of the state's economy. Seems the governor knows that we can't spend more than we have in revenue AND we need a rainy day fund for those times when things aren't working so well. Keep up the great work Governor Walker!!!

Imagine that.... when given the choice of whether to pay the government or not.... they decided NOT to send in anything!!! Hmmmmm.. makes you wonder if we all had a choice what would happen... oh.. i'm sure all the libs would be very willing to send in big checks!!!

On Two area attorneys vie in DA race

Seems to me that a basic qualification for the position is to have experience prosecuting CRIMINAL cases. Only one of these guys has that kind of experience- Mr. Harvey. Voting in any other way means on the job training and for this level the voters need to be more informed. This isn't about the person with the most and the biggest signs around the county, but who is most qualified.

On Progress continues on new Delavan fire station

Posted on July 3 at 7:38 a.m. ( Suggest removal )

I'm curious as to why the design didn't include a 'drive thru' with garage doors on the front and back of the building to make it easier for the fire trucks to be ready to go for the next emergency? Seems to me that the fire trucks will need to be backed in from Ann St. so they are facing out in the bays, creating a temporary traffic problem on the street.

On Video: State employees protest at Wisconsin School for the Deaf

As I slowly drove thru Delavan after work on Friday and encountered a few loud in my face poster carrying protesters of Governor Walker's Budget Repair Bill, it was apparent to me that the world did not end with the signing of the bill. Our governor and legislators in Madison are doing exactly what they were elected to do -- cut government spending and not raise taxes. Loud-mouth intimidating tactics do nothing to further your cause people. I suggest you look at your paycheck and consider taking the amount you are paying in union dues and redirect them to YOUR retirement. It's a novel, but a very independent 'choice' to invest in your own retirement rather than throwing those dollars down the union toilet!!

The measure of someone comes with how they handle adversity and difficult situations. The DDHS Comets faced a very tough Waukesha Memorial team yesterday. They fought hard, and there was never ever a time I felt as if they did anything but continue to fight hard and do everything they could do to come away with a victory. To the end they never gave up and as a former Comet, I am so proud of this team and Coach Tenhagen. Great season filled with a lifetime of very special memories for all of them. As always, GO COMETS!!! We are proud of you!

On Mukwonago men sue to keep 'Indians' nickname

Posted on November 12 at 12:27 p.m. ( Suggest removal )

janesvillian.... offensive to whom??? you?? this is a stupid law and needs to go away. Government needs to get out of the business of believing they know best and dictating our 'freedoms'. DPI should be doing something to be sure that the students are learning and get out of the 'social engineering' business. If you don't like the name, don't go there and don't go to any of the Indians games!!

On DPI orders Mukwonago to drop Indians nickname

Posted on October 9 at 8:59 a.m. ( Suggest removal )

Change is in the winds. It's time to get these politically correct goofballs out of the DPI. This is one of the most ridiculous laws ever made in this state! How in the world can one person be allowed to change something that is NOT wrong and a cherished tradition. Stupid, really stupid, and wrong!!! I'm offended by a lot of things in life, but I don't have the right to do anything but personally keep those things out of my life. Wonder why the radical politically correct nutjobs in Madison didn't make Mukwonago change the name of the city too!!! November can't come soon enough!
