The board members now serving were not the ones wanting a smaller board. They fought it tooth and nail. Even got Lohrmann removed as chair for supporting the smaller board

The New Walworth County board members wanted the smaller group of members so, live with it.

After a lengthy and contentious process, the size of the Walworth County Board was reduced to 11 members in 2007. “We knew the workload was going to be more,” board member Jerry Grant told the Gazette. “We knew it was going to be a lot more. I can see board members getting burned out.” Grant earlier this month wrote a letter to his peers suggesting they talk about increasing the number of board members by four.
