Visionary Artists to feature 'Alphabet of Art' at Hoard Museum

The "Visions: A-Z" exhibit at the Hoard Museum of Fort Atkinson in June will showcase “art inspired by the alphabet” – a remarkable and wide-ranging view of the same alphabet - by Visionary Artists Joyce Follis, Marilyn Fuerstenberg, Barbara Grant, Tom Jewell, Mary Nevicosi and Karolyn Alexander Tscharnack. The Visionary Artists show runs Saturday June 8 to Friday June 28 and is open from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays at the Hoard Museum, 401 Whitewater Avenue, Fort Atkinson. Lake Geneva Symphony closes season with young local talent

In keeping with its season theme, “A Story to Tell,” the LGSO will perform Tchaikovsky’s “Romeo and Juliet” and Beethoven’s “Sixth Symphony.” Badger High School junior Matthew Frazier will be the featured soloist in the first movement of Haydn’s “Cello Concerto in C Major.”

Badger FFA greenhouse sale begins May 3

LAKE GENEVA -- The Badger High School Future Farmers of America’s greenhouse will open for the spring planting season Friday, May 3, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. On Saturday May 4, 11 and 18, the greenhouse will be open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Beginning Monday May 6, the greenhouse will be open weekdays after school from 3-4:15 p.m. through May 24.
