— Be warned—for one night this summer, going to Elkhorn will take you right into the Danger Zone.

The Walworth County Fair announced Wednesday that singer/songwriter Kenny Loggins will headline its Aug. 31 grandstand entertainment.

Loggins, whose songs propelled such films as "Footloose," "Caddyshack" and "Top Gun," rounds out the schedule of headliners at the fair, which also includes The Beach Boys.

This year's fair will run from Wednesday Aug. 28 through Monday, Sept. 2 at the county fairgrounds in Elkhorn.

A truck and tractor pull kicks off entertainment Wednesday night, said Susan Pruessing, manager of marketing.

Country music will make up the next two nights' grandstand acts as Jerrod Niemann will play Thursday night and the Oak Ridge Boys take the stage Friday, Pruessing said.

Loggins performs Saturday night.

The Beach Boys follow Sunday, Sept. 1.

When The Beach Boys last played the fair, Pruessing mentioned, "Full House" star John Stamos sat in on drums.

The fair wraps up with a demolition derby Monday, Sept. 2.

Grandstand seats for the events are free, while reserved seats cost extra.

Tickets for the Walworth County Fair go on sale May 4, Pruessing said, and will cost $9 for adults.

Tickets will be available at local banks and grocery stores, at the fairgrounds box office, 411 E. Court St., Elkhorn, or by calling 262-723-3228.
