EAST TROY — This week, fans of East Troy basketball will be heading north to the Resch Center in Green Bay for the 38th Annual Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association Girls Basketball State Championships.

This is the first time the girls basketball state tournament, held March 14-16, will be conducted outside of Madison.

The Trojans led from start-to-finish Saturday with a 54-38 win over the Flying Dutchmen of Oostberg in a WIAA Division 3 sectional final at Arrowhead.

This will be the second straight trip to state for the East Troy girls, who fell to Oostberg in a coincidental score of 54-38 in last year's semifinal.

East Troy will take on Neillsville about 10: 30 a.m. Friday.
