Winter storm warning now issued for Tuesday
WALWORTH COUNTY The National Weather Service issued a winter storm warning for southeastern Wisconsin from 6 a.m. Tuesday through late into Tuesday night, with heavy snow predicted.
Light snow is expected to begin between around midnight Tuesday, and continue throughout the day with a total accumulation of 6 to 10 inches by Tuesday night. Snowfall will be moderate to heavy, with rates of up to one inch per hour at times.
A northwest wind with gusts up to 25 mph will cause blowing and drifting snow Tuesday.
Travel conditions are expected to be hazardous.
Wednesday will be partly sunny with a 20 percent chance of snow showers and a high near 32 degrees.
