Missoula Children's Theatre holding auditions in Whitewater

The Missoula Children's Theatre is staging "The Tortoise Versus The Hare" in Whitewater Feb. 2. The traveling theatre group, based in Montana, stages plays around the country using children as actors.

The Missoula Children's Theatre is staging "The Tortoise Versus The Hare" in Whitewater Feb. 2. The traveling theatre group, based in Montana, stages plays around the country using children as actors.

— The auditions for Missoula Children’s Theatre’s production of “The Tortoise Versus The Hare” will be held at 4 p.m. Monday, Jan. 28, at Young Auditorium, 900 W. Main St., Whitewater. There are roles for students in kindergarten through 12th grade. Approximately 50-60 local students will be cast to appear in the show.

Registration for the auditions is from 3 p.m. to 3:45 p.m. Jan. 28. The performance will be held Feb. 2 at Young Auditorium.

The Missoula Children's Theatre is headquartered in Missoula, Mont., and has been operating for more than 40 years, offering performing arts camps, classes and performances for children K-12. This year alone over 65,000 kids will be cast in one of the many MCT International Tour shows.

Volunteer teams of staffers stage plays around the country and around the world.
