Delavan-Darien girls earn first victory

The Delavan-Darien girls basketball team picked up its first win of the season Thursday night.

The Comets made 11 free throws in the fourth quarter in rallying for a 49-46 nonconference win over Kenosha Bradford.

Kylie Collins had 13 points to lead Delavan-Darien, while Lauren Kuntz chipped in 11 and Hayley Severson 10. Severson went 6-for-6 at the foul line in the fourth quarter.

-- Fort Atkinson 44, Elkhorn 39—In see-saw battle, the Blackhawks pulled away in the fourth quarter.

Fort Atkinson took a 5-0 lead into the second quarter, but sparked by Erin Schahczinski, who scored 10 of her 17 points in the second quarter, the Elks closed the gap to 20-19 at the half.

Emma Reed scored 10 points for Fort Atkinson.
