— A Wisconsin company is recalling about 2,500 pounds of raw ground beef products that may be contaminated with E. coli bacteria.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service says Glenn's Market and Catering of Watertown is recalling the raw beef.

The recall involves various size packages of Glenn's Market ground round, ground chuck and ground beef sold between Dec. 22, 2012, and Jan. 4, 2013, only from the company's retail meat case in Watertown.

The federal agency and the Wisconsin Division of Public Health have identified three patients with a strain of E. coli in the state. All three reported consuming raw ground round.

Officials and the company are concerned that some product may be in shoppers' freezers.

E. coli can cause dehydration, diarrhea and abdominal cramps.
