— Trostel Ltd., a seal and rubber products manufacturer, plans to raze a portion of its Lake Geneva facilities to build a research center, according to a story in The Business Journal.

A new 25,000-square foot addition will include taller ceilings designed to hold new equipment, and add more light to the facilities. The project should be completed by this fall.

The firm’s director of advanced engineering and innovation said Trostel was initially considering moving to another location, but decided to renovate its Lake Geneva headquarters instead.

Company officials said about 15 new manufacturing jobs will be added to its current workforce of 40 employees in Lake Geneva.

Trostel also has plants in Whitewater, Texas and Mexico.
