— Poems by the Lake, a reading series led by Alisha Benson of the Lake Geneva Library, will be held Wed., Jan. 16 at 6:30 p.m. in the library, located at 918 W. Main St. in Lake Geneva.

Participants may bring poems on any subject by favorite poets or their own original works to read aloud, or they may simply come to listen.

The theme for January is life and creativity. Benson will present insights and exercises from “The Artist’s Way” by Julia Cameron and “Writing Fiction” by Janet Burroway. Participants are encouraged to share poems on the theme, poems to live by or poems that have changed their lives.

For more information on the series, call (262) 249-5299 or visit www.lakegeneva.lib.wi.us.
