ORTIZ DIAZ, 29, of 717 Brooks St., Beloit, at 1 p.m. Monday at Rock County Jail, on a bench warrant charging him with failing to appear in court on charges of battery, theft and strangulation, all with domestic violence riders. The charges are related to an incident that took place August. 2011.

-- THAD J. SMITH, 46, Chicago, Ill., at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Rock County Jail, Janesville on charges of fraud and forgery.

-- KATHLEEN J. VAN ZANDT, 42, of 2023 Frontier Road, Janesville, at 6:45 p.m. Wednesday at the Janesville Police Department on a charge of forgery. Police say she stole an individual's checks and used them for purchases.

Intoxicated driving arrests

-- CABRERA FAUSTINO-CABRERA, 54, of 1023 Park Ave., Beloit, at 8 a.m. Monday. at Afton Road and Wildflower Lane, Janesville. It was listed as his second arrest on drunken driving charges.

-- EDUARDO GOMEZ, 21, of Harvard, Ill., at 7:10 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 26 at highways 67 and 140, Clinton. He also was cited for possession of open intoxicants.

-- ROBERT L. WATSON, 22, of 320 Tyranna Road, Lake Mills, at 12:27 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 23 at Highway 51 and Knilans Road, town of Rock. He also was cited for speeding.

-- CHRISTOPHER M. TUGGLE, 17 of 1232 Evergreen Ave., Beloit, at 8:53 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 25 at Highway 51 and Terrington Drive, town of Rock. He also was cited for speeding.

-- MOLLY S. OLSON, 24, of 619 College St., No. 9, Milton, at 1:51 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 22 at Milton Avenue and Kettering Street, Janesville.

-- KRISTOPHER J. EDINGTON, 34, of 927 Alpine Drive, Janesville, at 2:30 a.m. Saturday at East Milwaukee Street and Somerset Drive, Janesville. He also was cited for driving too fast for conditions.

-- SUSAN M. THOMAS, 633 S. Garfield Ave., Janesville, at 8:46 p.m. Saturday at South Garfield Avenue and Burr Oak Court, Janesville.

-- BURGLARY, reported 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 27 on East Rye Drive, Clinton. Reported taken were two puppies. No value was listed.

-- DOGNAPPING, reported at 9:37 p.m. Thursday, around North Pine and Ravine streets, Janesville. A Janesville woman was walking her pit bull when an unknown man asked to see her dog. While petting the dog, the man grabbed the red leash out of her hand and rode off on a bicycle eastbound on Ravine with the dog.
