Craig gymnasts win meet
SUN PRAIRIE Craig High made it through its first Big Eight gymanstics meet Thursday with a 121.675-101.825 victory over host Sun Prairie.
"It was our first meet since before Christmas," Craig coach Jean Welch said. "We were a little rusty."
The Cougars competed without Ashley Pohlman, who was out sick.
"We were short-handed," Welch said. "We should score better than this."
Craig's Ashley McGoey won the vault (8.275), balance beam (8.675) and the floor exercise (8.45).
Craig competes in the Westosha Falcon Invitational at 10 a.m. Saturday.
