Co-op teams rule sectional gymnastics

Co-op teams dominated Thursday night's Division 1 Waukesha West Sectional girls gymnastics meet.

The co-op team of Burlington/Badger/Catholic Central/Wilmot won the team title with 149.3, while Franklin/Muskego/Oak Creek/Whitnall co-op was second at 148.65. Janesville Craig finished seventh at 129.45 and Janesville Parker eighth at 124.0.

Parker's Hailey Leisten, a junior, had the top city finish. Leisten was 11th in the all-around.

The top two teams and top five individuals qualify for next weekend's state meet at Wisconsin Rapids.
