'Green Fire' screening coming to Lake Geneva
LAKE GENEVA A film screening of "Green Fire," the first full-length documentary film ever made about legendary environmentalist Aldo Leopold, will be shown Sat., March 2, at 10:30 a.m. at the Lake Geneva Public Library, 918 Main St., Lake Geneva.
"Green Fire" highlights Leopold's career, tracing how he shaped and influenced the modern environmental movement. Leopold remains relevant today, inspiring projects all over the country that connect people and land.
"Green Fire" won an Emmy award for best historical documentary at the 54th annual Chicago/Midwest Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences in 2012.
