No. 2 East Troy downs McFarland boys

Brett Prahl scored eight of his game-high 28 points in the third quarter as the East Troy boys basketball team pulled away from McFarland and held on for a 68-54 victory in a Rock Valley Conference game on Monday night.

East Troy clinched its fifth straight Rock Valley North title.

Prahl scored 10 buckets and went 8-for-10 from the free-throw line and the Trojans, who moved up to the No. 2 ranking in Division 3 on Monday, improved to 17-3 overall and 14-0 in conference play.

Alex Prahl added 15 points and Nate Dodge pitched in 12. East Troy outscored McFarland 19-7 in the pivotal third quarter.

McFarland fell to 10-4 and 13-7. Cory Frank led the Spartans with 18 points and Chris Wedel added 13.

-- Racine Case 68, Burlington 49—After a tightly played first half, Racine Case outscored the Burlington boys basketball team 43-25 in the second half to race away with a nonconference victory Monday night.

Tyrese Pinson sunk five 3-pointers to lead Case with 15 points. The team had four players in double figures.

Carson Biedrzycki led the Demons with 17 points and Ty Dennis contributed 15 as Burlington fell to 15-5 overall.
