Depth propels Warhawk women
UW-Whitewater's women's basketball team seems to have a different hero each game.
The Warhawks' depth has been a key to remaining in first place in the WIAC.
Wednesday night it was Kaitlyn Thill's turn. Thill poured in 26 points to lead three players in double figures as the Warhawks routed UW-Platteville, 81-62.
Whitewater improved to 17-5 overall, including 11-1 in the WIAC—one game ahead of UW-Oshkosh.
The Warhawks built a five-point halftime lead but used an early 10-0 run in the second half to take control.
Thill missed only two of 11 shots and made three of the Warhawks' five three-point baskets.
Whitewater hosts UW-Superior on Saturday.
