Portugese water dogs will be showing off their abilities during the 21st annual National Portugese Water Dog Specialty in Lake Geneva from Sept. 28-Oct. 5. The event will feature competitions in agility, rally and water trials. File photo.

LAKE GENEVA--See Portugese water dogs in action at the 21st National Portuguese Water Dogs Specialty at Geneva Ridge Resort, beginning Fri., Sept. 28 and running through Oct. 5.

This specialty event will be open to the public and will include competitions in agility, rally, obedience and water trials.

The agenda begins with water practice on Sept. 28, and culminate a week later with best of breed, the annual banquet and announcement of the SuperDog winner on Oct. 5.

Throughout the week, seminars will take place inside Geneva Ridge

Resort's meeting rooms as well as auctions full of items fit for all

dog lovers.

Water trials will be held on the Fontana Beach beginning at 8:00 a.m. on

Saturday and Sunday, September 29 and 30.

Participants and their dogs are staying throughout the Lake Geneva area.
