Walworth County sheriffs' deputies attacked by pit bulls during arrest
ELKHORN SUGAR CREEK TOWNSHIP--Two Walworth County sheriff's deputies responding to a disorderly conduct charge in Sugar Creek were attacked by pit bulls Saturday while attempting to arrest the dogs' owner, according to a news release from the Walworth County Sheriff's Office Tuesday.
The attack happened while deputies John Czerwinski and Matt Weber responded to a trespassing complaint against Daniel White, 40, who was accused of making threatening statements to two young girls at the Sugar Creek residence of Phyllis Murray, 56.
White was taken to jail, where charges of trespassing, battery to a peace officer, resisting arrest, failure to comply with officer and disorderly conduct were filed.
