DARIEN TOWNSHIP--Students of S.M.I.L.E.S. (Special Methods in Learning Equine Skills) held a Superstar Horse Show Sept. 22, showcasing everything they've learned at the therapeutic riding center for individuals with special needs.

Events at the show included classes in Western horsemanship, English equitation and ground driving.

The show was free and open to the public, and participants collected a minimum of $75 in pledges toward the ridership/scholarship fund.
