— Republican vice presidential candidate Paul Ryan is airing his second ad in Wisconsin for his House seat, while a new poll shows President Barack Obama widening his lead over Mitt Romney in Wisconsin.

State law allows Ryan to run both for his eighth House term at the same time he is on the national presidential ticket as Romney's running mate. His Democratic opponent in the state's 1st District is Rob Zerban.

Ryan aired his first ad last week and followed it up with a new spot Wednesday that shows him on a factory floor talking to voters about improving the economy.

A Quinnipiac University poll released Wednesday shows Obama leading Romney 51 percent to 45 percent among likely voters, with a 2.5 percentage point margin of error.
