A Walworth County native, Kristy Kaminski, has been tapped as one of the contestants on "The Bachelor" for the 2013 season.

Kaminski, who calls Delavan her hometown--although some think it's actually Darien--is a fitness educator and a model with the Ford Agency.

Her southeastern Wisconsin background is referred to in www.wetpaint.com, a website describing the show:

"Having also lived in Chicago, she claims she’s developed a good balance of small town and big city values. Those will definitely come in handy at Bachelor Mansion when deciding whether to swig a beer or sip champagne with this season's mystery rose slinger."

The website noted filming for the show begins around Sept. 20.
