Artists wanted for Delavan Christmas card contest

DELAVAN — Anyone with an interest in Delavan, Wisconsin and art is invited to enter Delavan’s Downtown Business Association’s second annual art contest (except, of course, those individuals involved in the judging of the contest). The DBA is seeking a drawing, painting, photo, etc. to be used to create a Delavan Christmas Card. Artwork should relate to Delavan and have been created in the last two years. Keep in mind that Bradley’s is celebrating their 160th anniversary this year and the artwork will be used for a Christmas card.

Art contest rules:

1. All artwork must be of Delavan and have been created between 2010 and 2012.

2. Artwork will be judged on impact, artistic composition, quality, and ability to be made into a Christmas card.

3. The number of entries is limited to 3 per artist.

5. The winning entry will be purchased for $75, and the winning artist will receive a dozen of the final printed Christmas card.

6. Images must be at least 7” in one dimension with a maximum overall size of 11”x17”.

7. Entries must be unmounted. Framing is not permitted.

8. All entries will be displayed downtown Delavan in November.

9. Entries must be received by November 1, 2012. The winning artist will be announced November 8, 2012.
