Lake Lawn Resort opens renovated complex

DELAVAN — Lake Lawn Resort opened its $2 million newly renovated Lakewood, adding 33 rooms and 15 suites to the resort, according to a Milwaukee Journal Sentinel story.

The addition brings the total number of rooms and suites offered by the resort to 271.

The resort has continued to rebound after closing at the end of 2010. New owners acquired the 258-acre property in May of 2011, and since opened the golf course, marina, restaurants and guest rooms.

A tax incremental financing district is allowing the resort owners to defer up to $1.3 million in payments to the city over the next six years.
