— Nationally recognized physician Zorba Paster will explain how the new Affordable Care Act will affect the lives of area residents during a forum sponsored by the Janesville League of Women Voters.

The free public event is from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Rock County Job Center, 1900 Center Ave., Janesville. The forum will include time for questions.

Paster is a practicing family physician, author, professor of family medicine at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health and host of public radio's popular "Zorba Paster on Your Health," according to a news release.

Paster will be part of a panel of experts explaining health care reform and how it will impact Wisconsin residents medically and financially. The panel also will include Carol Koby, executive producer and host of "All About Living" and "Living Minutes" on WTDY Radio (106.7FM, 1670 AM) in Madison, and Lisa Lamkins, advocacy director for AARP Wisconsin.

"With the health care bill being debated during this election, it is important that we understand what is truth and what is myth without all the political spin," Amy Golackson, president of the Janesville League of Women Voters, said in a statement.
