Kurtwood Smith, the Wisconsin-born actor who played the legendary hard-as-nails father Red Forman on ‘That ‘70s Show’ and Justin Long, known for portraying the Mac guy in Apple commercials for the same product, made a stop at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater Wednesday, according to a story in the Daily Jefferson County Union.

The two actors spoke to about 300 students, urging them to sign up, vote and canvass other voters for the upcoming November election.

Long also encouraged the students to become educated voters, remembering he had “wasted” his first vote in 2000 on Ralph Nader to impress a young woman.

Both Long and Smith were campaigning for President Barack Obama, reminding students that he has increased Pell Grants for students and redirected the flow of student loans.

Smith also suggested students make sure committed voters get to the polls---even if they had to warn them Red Forman would be looking for them, knowing just where to put his foot.
