Artist Elizabeth Beunaiche's sculpture was on display as part of the Kettle Moraine Studio Tour last weekend. Six area studios, from Palmyra to Waukesha, featured artwork on the tour, which is always the second weekend in October. Terry Mayer photo.

Last weekend marked the 14th year of the Kettle Moraine Studio Tour, and the largest tour to date. Visitors to the free event stopped at a variety of art studios at six locations to view the work of 19 award-winning painters, sculptors, photographers and musicians, all within a 20-mile radius.

This year the tour welcomed five new guest artists along with 14 returning artists, and for the first time, the studio of Layna Portugal.

All five of the original founding artists and their studios were open for the tour. Artists Tom Rauschke, Kaaren Wiken, Jeff Noska, Barbara Reinhart and Bill Lemke started the Kettle Moraine Studio Tour in 1999.

For more photos of the artwork displayed on the tour, see the upcoming Oct. 21 print or e-edition of Walworth County Sunday.
