Home heat will cost more this winter
We Energies says it will cost more to heat your home this winter.
The utility company says consumers should expect to pay about 9 percent more based on the current outlook for natural gas prices and a normal winter.
Heating costs for the six-month heating season from November to April will average about $550, or $45 more than last winter. Record warm temperatures last winter caused heating costs to drop 24 percent from the season before.
We Energies spokesman Brian Manthey tells the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel the forecast for this season is still less expensive than just about every winter in the past decade.
